A few small habits keep your piece looking just-bought, for years.
Every day
- Jewellery goes on last (after perfume and lotion) and comes off first when you're home.
- Skip the pool, the shower, and the gym while wearing it — chlorine and sweat are not its friends.
- Store pieces separately so chains don't tangle or scratch each other.
Keeping it shiny
- A quick wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing does most of the work.
- Need a deeper clean? Lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap, then dry fully. Skip toothpaste, baking soda, and harsh dips — they're too rough on plating and pavé.
- Silver looking a little dull? A jewellery cloth brings the shine right back — or use your free lifetime polish (see our Return & Refund Policy).
Stones
Clean gently with a soft brush from the front — no digging around the settings. If a stone ever feels loose, stop wearing it and send us a photo. Please don't glue it yourself.
Chains & clasps
Every Zevar necklace has a real lobster clasp and an extender. Please don't swap it for a magnetic clasp or hidden lock — it affects your warranty. If a chain kinks, stop and send it to us rather than pulling at it.
Bangles & charms
Open the hinge fully before putting a bangle on, rather than twisting it over your wrist. Give charm jump rings an occasional glance — catching one early is an easy fix.
Storage
Your Zevar pouch or box is the best home for your piece. Anti-tarnish strips help silver stay brighter for longer.
